About the event

On Saturday, January 17, 2026, join other PBK members and guests for a guided tour at Brandywine Museum of Art in Chadds Ford, PA.  Since 1971, the museum has been dedicated to American art, with primary emphasis on the art of the Brandywine region, especially that of the Wyeth family of artists.  The museum is housed in the renovated Hoffman’s Mill, a former gristmill built in 1864.  The special exhibition we will tour is entitled “Cropsey, Wyeth, and the American Landscape Tradition”, which premieres a monumental, rediscovered masterwork by the leading Hudson River School artist Jasper Francis Cropsey (1823-1900).  The tour, which lasts one hour, will also cover a portion of the permanent collection.  The tour will be followed by an hour plus of free time to see the rest of the museum and then by a 12:45 pm pay-your-own group lunch at Chadds Ford Tavern nearby. Tour fee: $19 per person.
